Start your tour from India’s commercial capital, Mumbai, then visit the remarkable Caves of Ajanta and Ellora, Aurangabad, followed by a visit to the City of Lakes, Udaipur and then continue your tour to the Pink city of Jaipur. Before ending the tour visit the city of the Taj Mahal followed by a short hop in to the lively capital city of Delhi.

Day 01

Arrive Mumbai

On your arrival in Mumbai, you will be met by Trans India Holidays representative and will be transferred to your chosen hotel. Mumbai, earlier called as Bombay, is the commercial capital of India. It is also known as the "city that never sleeps". Mumbai is a perfect blend of culture, customs and lifestyle. Mumbai is India’s most cosmopolitan city, its financial powerhouse and the nerve center of India’s fashion industry and also the Hollywood of India, fondly called “Bollywood”. Mumbai is dotted with plenty of architectural landmarks from the Victorian era and the days of the Raj.

Day 2

In Mumbai

A half day's sightseeing tour of Mumbai includes visits to the Prince of Wales museum- the main museum in Mumbai. The museum is constructed in the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture. The museum building is fenced by a garden of palm trees and formal flower beds, followed by a visit to the Gateway of India- a conventional arch constructed in 1927, to honor the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. Gateway of India is situated in the southernmost peninsula of the city, continue your sightseeing to the Marine Drive, one of the landmark thoroughfares of South Mumbai , it is also known as the Queen’s Necklace because of the shimmering lights that dot this road, that are visible from long distances, finally visit the Hanging garden.

Day 3

Fly Mumbai to Aurangabad

This morning you will be escorted to Mumbai Airport for your flight to your next destination Aurangabad doorway to the astounding Ajanta and Ellora Caves.
On your arrival in Aurangabad airport you will be met by our representative and will be transferred to your hotel and will assist you with the check in formalities. Later your guide will take you for a guided sightseeing of the famous Ellora Caves, situated 29 kms from Aurangabad. Encompassing 34 rock cut shrines Ellora caves represents Buddhist, Hindu & Jain art dating from the 4th to 9th century A.D. The most notable among them is the Kailash Temple, meant to be a copy of Lord Shivas holy abode - Kailash is the best example of Rock cut architecture and an engineering marvel.

Day 4

In Aurangabad

This morning enjoy a visit to the famous Ajanta Caves , situated almost 100 kms from Aurangabad. Ajanta caves have the beautiful Buddhist caving’s between the 2nd century BC and the 7th century AD. These carvings are considered masterpieces of Buddhist religious art.

Day 5

Fly Aurangabad to Udaipur via Mumbai

After the sight seeing of the beautiful Ajanta and Ellora caves, you will be transferred to Aurangabad Airport in time to board your flight to Udaipur via Mumbai, the next destination on your Jewels of India tour. Udaipur is famed as the "city of sunrise" also called the Venice of the East. On arrival you will be met by our representative and will be transferred to your chosen hotel. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 6

In Udaipur

A half day's sightseeing tour of the Venice of the East, Udaipur. The guided sightseeing tour starts from the magnificent City Palace - towering over the lake, this is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. The Jagdish Temple that treasures a black stone image of Lord Vishnu as Jagannath, after that visit the beautiful Saheliyon ki bari a small ornamental garden with fountains, stone elephants and a enchanting lotus pool. An enchanting way to end your day in Udaipur is by taking a beautiful boat ride on Lake Pichola in the evening when the City palace in the background unites with the sparkling lake water.

Day 7

Drive Udaipur to Jaipur (400 kms/6½ hrs)

After visiting Udaipur, start your drive to Jaipur the pink city, the next destination on your Jewels of India tour.. On your arrival in Jaipur, check in at your selected hotel. Rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the facilities of the hotel or explore Jaipur's colorful bazaars.

Day 8

In Jaipur

After the breakfast start the full day sightseeing of Jaipur that includes the beautiful Amber Fort, 11kms from the city. Amber was once the ancient capital of Jaipur. The Fort is an excellent illustration of Rajput architecture, impressively situated on a hillside facing a lake, which reflects its walkways and walls. Returning to Jaipur, visit the palaces, museums and the halls of the City Palace (still a royal residence) and the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds. Finally wind up your sightseeing by visiting the Observatory, Jantar Mantar. It was built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728. Jantar Mantar appears to be an inquisitive collection of sculptures but in fact each construction has a detailed purpose such as measuring the positions of stars, altitudes and azimuths, and calculating eclipses.

Day 9

Drive Jaipur to Agra (250 kms/05 hrs)

This morning start your drive to Agra enroute stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar's deserted city. After visiting the ancient capital continue on to the city of the Taj Mahal, Agra.
On your arrival, check in to your selected hotel and spend the afternoon enjoying the facilities of the hotel or explore the city of love on your own.

Day 10

Drive Agra to Delhi (220 kms/04 hrs)

The day starts early sunrise visit to one of the Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal, constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The construction of this famous monument is said to have taken 22 years, starting from 1631. Later, on visit the Agra Fort, the walled city constructed by the Famous Mughal emperors and then to Itmad-ud-Daulah, the exquisite tomb of a Persian adventurer who became chief minister at the Emperor Jahangir’s court.
Later in the afternoon stop for lunch and then continue your drive to Delhi. Delhi, the lively capital city with an ideal combination of the ancient and the contemporary era. The city has two visible parts, Old Delhi which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the forts, tombs and the ancient ruins whereas the New Delhi offers high-rise buildings and stately homes on wide, tree-lined avenues.

Day 11

In Delhi

A full day sightseeing of the Old and the New Delhi starting from the largest Friday Mosque- Jama Masjid, the famous silver street of Chandni Chowk, the mighty Red Fort, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi-Raj Ghat, the famous Hindu temple-Birla Mandir, the India Gate & Rajpath, then to the President’s House-Rashtrapati Bhawan, then to the well known 73 m high victory tower- Qutub Minar and finally to the beautifully lotus shaped temple-Bahai temple.
Overnight stay in New Delhi. ( We will be happy to recommend restaurants and lovely places for an evening stroll).

Day 12

Depart Delhi

Have a relaxed morning at your hotel, or take in some last minute shopping. After the check out you will be met by our representative and will be escorted to the New Delhi International Airport for your flight back home.
