Your Tiger Safari tour in India begins with your arrival at the Delhi International Airport. At the airport, you will be received by a Trans India Holidays representative and he will escort you to the hotel and help you with the check in formalities. The tour starts from the capital city, Delhi, a lively city, with an ideal combination of the ancient and the contemporary era. The city has two visible parts, Old Delhi which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the forts, tombs and the ancient ruins whereas the New Delhi offers high-rise buildings and stately homes on wide, tree-lined avenues. A full day sightseeing of the Old and the New Delhi starting from the largest Friday Mosque- Jama Masjid, the famous silver street of Chandni Chowk, the mighty Red Fort, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi-Raj Ghat, the famous Hindu temple-Birla Mandir, the India Gate & Rajpath, then to the President’s House-Rashtrapati Bhawan, then to the well known 73 m high victory tower- Qutub Minar and finally to the beautifully lotus shaped temple-Bahai temple. After visiting the lively capital city, this morning you will be met by our representative and will be transferred to New Delhi airport for your flight to Khajuraho. On your arrival in Khajuraho again you will be met by our representative and he will transfer you to your chosen hotel. Later in the afternoon, the guide will take you for the sightseeing of the Eastern and Western Group of Temples of Khajuraho that includes the Lakshmi and the Varaha Temple, the Lakshmana Temple, the KandariyaMahadev, the Mahadeva Temple, the Devi Jagadamba Temple, the Chitragupta Temple and the Vishwanath Temple. The Eastern Group of temples houses the Parasvanath Temple, the largest and finest Jain temple in the city as well as the Adinath Temple, the Shantinath Temple, the Ghantai Temple, the Javari Temple, the Vamana Temple and the Brahma and Hanuman Temple. The Western group of temples includes the Matangesvara Temple, the only temple in Khajuraho where the daily rituals still takes place and the Chausath Yogini Temple, the temple which is in ruins now and is believed to be the oldest temple in Khajuraho. Drive Kanha to Pench (250 kms/05 hrs) After an early morning game drive in Kanha, drive for Pench National Park the nextl National Park, that you will visit on your Tiger Safari tour in India., Pench National Park is one of the recent parks that comes under the canopy of Project Tiger in 1992 and is open to tourism. Since this forest had no visitors in the past, so the wildlife here is incredibly varied and visible. A beautiful area, where teak forest covers much of the vegetation and open grassland in an undulant land, at the foot of the Satpura Range. Overnight stay will be at the Pench Jungle Camp.
An early morning game ride in Pench National Park, followed by a drive to Nagpur Railway Station for the 3:55 pm train for Agra. Overnight onboard the train.
On your arrival at Agra Railway station at 5:25 am, you will be met by our representative and will be transferred to your selected hotel. Later head out for the sightseeing, of the beautiful monument of love, the Taj Mahal one of the Wonders of the World, it was constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The construction of this famous monument is said to have taken 22 years, starting from 1631. Later, on visit the Agra Fort, the walled city constructed by the Famous Mughal emperors and then to Itmad-ud-Daulah, the exquisite tomb of a Persian adventurer who became chief minister at the Emperor Jahangir’s court. After visiting the city of love, depart Agra early this morning for Bharatpur Railway station, en-route stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital of Emperor Akbar. After visiting the ancient capital, continue to Bharatpur Railway Station to board the 11am Express train for Ranthambore, the last National park that you will visit on your Tiger Safari in India. On your arrival in Ranthambore you will be met by our representative and will be transferred to your chosen jungle lodge for your 2 night stay in Ranthambore. Morning and evening Safaris in Ranthambore National Park The Ranthambore National Park is one of the major illustrations of the Project Tiger's conservation in Rajasthan. The Ranthambore National Park covers an area of over 400 sq. km. It has many sharp cliffs enfolding a route of lakes and rivers. The 10th century Ranthambore Fort stands as a silent watchman on one of these hills. This National Park is a combination of the fortified forest and the open chaparral land. After an early morning Safari in Ranthambore National Park, start your drive for the Pink City, Jaipur the next stop on your Tiger Safari in India. After the breakfast start the full day sightseeing of Jaipur that includes the beautiful Amber Fort, 11kms from the city. Amber was once the ancient capital of Jaipur. The Fort is an excellent illustration of Rajput architecture, impressively situated on a hillside facing a lake, which reflects its walkways and walls. Returning to Jaipur, visit the palaces, museums and the halls of the City Palace (still a royal residence) and the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds. Finally wind up your sightseeing by visiting the Observatory, Jantar Mantar. It was built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728. Jantar Mantar appears to be an inquisitive collection of sculptures but in fact each construction has a detailed purpose such as measuring the positions of stars, altitudes and azimuths, and calculating eclipses. Return to Delhi by road, stopping at the Neemrana Palace, an elegant and historical heritage hotel for tea, before continuing your drive to Delhi’s International Airport for your flight back home, with pictures, souvenirs and memories of the Tiger Safari tour in India.
