• Day 1: Arrive Delhi

  Arrive Delhi Your India & Nepal tour begins with your arrival at the Delhi International Airport. At the airport, you will be received by a Trans India Holidays representative and he will escort you to the hotel and help you with the check in formalities. The tour starts from the capital city, Delhi, a lively city, with an ideal combination of the ancient and the contemporary era. The city has two visible parts, Old Delhi which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the forts, tombs and the ancient ruins whereas the New Delhi offers high-rise buildings and stately homes on wide, tree-lined avenues. • Day 2: In Delhi

  A full day sightseeing of the Old and the New Delhi starting from the largest Friday Mosque- Jama Masjid, the famous silver street of Chandni Chowk, the mighty Red Fort, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi-Raj Ghat, the famous Hindu temple-Birla Mandir, the India Gate & Rajpath, then to the President’s House-Rashtrapati Bhawan, then to the well known 73 m high victory tower- Qutub Minar and finally to the beautifully lotus shaped temple-Bahai temple. • Day 3: Fly Delhi to Varanasi

  After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Varanasi. On your arrival at Varanasi you will be met by our representative and will be transferred to your chosen hotel. Later explore the holy city of Varanasi visiting the bathing ghats along the banks of the river Ganges, The Kashiviswanath Temple, The Durgakund, and The Sankatmochan – Hanuman Temple. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

• Day 4: Fly Varanasi to Khajuraho

  The day begins early with a Dawn Boat Ride on the holy river Ganges. The City and the river Ganges come alive at dawn, when hundreds and thousands of devotees come to the river to worship the Sun God. The edge of the river looks amazing from a boat at sunrise and this sight is spiritually uplifting. Return to the hotel for a relaxing breakfast and later you will be escorted by our representative to the Varanasi Airport for the short flight to Khajuraho, the next destination on your North India Tour. On your arrival at Khajuraho you will be met by our representative and will be transferred to your chosen hotel. Overnight stay in Khajuraho.

• Day 5: Drive Khajuraho to Orchha (180 kms/04 hrs)

  The Eastern group of temples includes the Lakshmi and the Varaha Temple, the Lakshmana Temple, the KandariyaMahadev, the Mahadeva Temple, the Devi Jagadamba Temple, the Chitragupta Temple and the Vishwanath Temple. The Eastern Group of temples houses the Parasvanath Temple, the largest and finest Jain temple in the city as well as the Adinath Temple, the Shantinath Temple, the Ghantai Temple, the Javari Temple, the Vamana Temple and the Brahma and Hanuman Temple. The Western group of temples includes the Matangesvara Temple, the only temple in Khajuraho where the daily rituals still takes place and the Chausath Yogini Temple, the temple which is in ruins now and is believed to be the oldest temple in Khajuraho. After the sightseeing tour of Khajuraho, drive to Orchha, the next destination on your North India Tour. Overnight stay at Orchha Resort.

• Day 6: Drive Orchha to Gwalior (130 kms/03 hrs)

  Spend the morning exploring the town of Orchha. Start exploring the town from visiting the Rai Praveen Mahal at Chaturbhuj Temple, then the Jahangir Mahal, and finally the Royal Chhattris along the Betwa River. After the sightseeing drive to Gwalior the next destination on your North India Tour. Gwalior is situated at the hidtorical and geographical crossroads of India. The fortress of Gwalior shines out as the noblest of all Hindu castles. Overnight stay at your chosen hotel in Gwalior.

• Day 7: Drive Gwalior to Agra (120 kms/03 hrs)

  A half day sightseeing of Gwalior starting from the famous Gwalior Fort, The Museum, Rani Lakshmi Bai Memorial and the Tansen’s Tomb. After the sightseeing start your drive to the city of the Taj Mahal, Agra the next destination on your North India tour. On your arrival in Agra, check in to your selected hotel for 2 nights. Relax and enjoy the hotel facilities in the afternoon or explore the city of love on your own. Overnight stay in Agra

• Day 8: In Agra

  The day starts early sunrise visit to one of the Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal, constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The construction of this famous monument is said to have taken 22 years, starting from 1631. Later, on visit the Agra Fort, the walled city constructed by Famous Mughal emeperors and then to Itmad-ud-Daulah, the exquisite tomb of a Persian adventurer who became chief minister at the Emperor Jahangir’s court. • Day 9: Drive Agra to Jaipur (250 kms/05 hrs)

  After visiting the city of the Taj Mahal, start you drive to Jaipur, the pink city the last stop on your North India tour enroute stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, the ancient capital. After visiting Fatehpur Sikri continue your drive to the city that arrays a pink carpet to all its visitors. Jaipur was painted pink to welcome Prince Albert in the year 1853. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

• Day 10: In Jaipur

  After the breakfast start the full day sightseeing of Jaipur that includes the beautiful Amber Fort, 11kms from the city. Amber was once the ancient capital of Jaipur. The Fort is an excellent illustration of Rajput architecture, impressively situated on a hillside facing a lake, which reflects its walkways and walls. Returning to Jaipur, visit the palaces, museums and the halls of the City Palace (still a royal residence) and the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds. Finally wind up your sightseeing by visiting the Observatory, Jantar Mantar. It was built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728. Jantar Mantar appears to be an inquisitive collection of sculptures but in fact each construction has a detailed purpose such as measuring the positions of stars, altitudes and azimuths, and calculating eclipses. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

• Day 11: Drive Jaipur to Delhi (250 kms/05 hrs) Depart Delhi

  Return to Delhi by road, stopping at the Neemrana Palace, an elegant and historical heritage hotel for tea, before continuing your drive to Delhi’s International Airport for your flight back home, with pictures, souvenirs and memories of the North India Tour.
